How to become a CAcert Association member

Most of us enjoy the CAcert free certficate service. But some of us also want to help out to make this service a long term and reliable free service. The base for this is done and carried out by persons joined by the CAcert Inc. association. If you want to join the association have a look at CAcert Association Membership For only 10 US$ per year and remember you need two current association members to nominate in order to join.

CAcert Assurance and PGP signing event

At the dutch NLUUG conference, Thursday 10th of May 2007 (conf. theme is Virtualisation), location Reehorst, Ede, Holland there will be CAcert Assurances, CAcert info (and news!), and OpenPGP signing. The conference is from 9am-5 pm. For CAcert and PGP there is a free admittance.

SANE (network and systems admin conference) Cacert Assurances in Delft Holland

At the SANE2006 system and network admin conference running from 15th of May 2006 up to Friday 19th of May 2006 in Delft, Holland (see SANE2006) CAcert Assurances as well PGP signing can be done. At Wednesday 17th of May 2006 there is from 18:30 a special (free entrance) Bazar with a CAcert booth to obtain your assurance or to assure others.

The event location is: TU Delft, Aula Congress Centre, Mekelweg 5, Delft, Holland.

Be prepared and do your preparations see CAcert web site or SANE2006 CAcert info.

CAcert Assurances at USENIX’06 conf May 30-June 3 2006, Boston USA

At the annual technical USENIX’06 conference running from 30th of May till June 3rd, 2006 in Boston, USA you will be able to be assured by CAcert Assurers and obtaining more information at the Birds of Feather session at one of the evenings at the conference. If you only want to be assured and not attend the conference feel free to walk in and ask for a CAcert Assurer. If you want your PGP key signed feel free to drop in as well.

Be prepared and visit the CAcert web site for the preparations (Assurer Forms, registration account, etc.).

FOSDEM event Febr 2006

At the FOSDEM conference taking place 25th and 26th of February 2006 in Brussels, Belg ium(see: fosdem ) you will be able to get your CAcert Assurance done as well to get your GNUPG public key signed. There is a signing party scheduled in the late afternoon at Saturday 25th. For more details see: key signing .

NLUUG Automn Conference

NLUUG Autumn Conference, 17th of November 2005, Ede, Holland.
The conference will host PGP signing, and CAcert certificate Assurances opportunity. There is a special meeting point arranged for these Assurances. The NLUUG (dutch UNIX Users Group) is an Open Source association, meeting twice a year in Ede, Holland.
