Certification & Keysigning will be held on 25th of April (Friday evening at 19h local time) in Restaurant & Cafe Rila (changed location) on Balanstrasse 16 in the Muenchen city center. CAcert Inc. as association, will have a Special General Meeting on two by-laws issues to be voted upon:
- Rules defining non-profit (a prerequisite for tax reasons);
- Enable to vote via email by CAcert association members (needed to get an easier influence from membership).
The SGM is on 4th of April 2008 11 pm MET, via CAcert irc channel. The details are in the SGM agenda.
CAcert association members are called to attend this meeting. The minimum quorum for a formal meeting is five attendees. Even if these voting topics are not much of a discussion the SGM is important and minimizes the costs of operation.

At the ApacheCon April 7-11, 2008 in Amsterdam, the official Apache User conference of the Apache Software Foundation there will be a CAcert booth for Individual and Organisation Assurances from 9-11 April. Visit the booth!
Be prepared and if you are not a CAcert Coimmunity Member yet, read the Community Agreement, join and registrate and print at least three Community Application (CAP) forms with your name and email address for the Assurance event.
The Oophaga Foundation, which organisation is taking care of CAcert events in Holland is looking for CAcert assurers who can help to assure on these conference dates. Please react to cacert-support if you want to help.

At the upcoming Fosdem’08 Free and Open Source Developers’ European Meeting, 23-24 Febr 2008 in Brussels, Belgium there will be at Sunday 24 Febr 2008 12-14 pm, Ferrer room a CAcert Assurance event as well a PGP signing party will be helt. During the meeting days there will be enough assurers around to assure you also if you cannot make it on this time.
Be prepared and take the CAcert Assurance Programme form and for PGP your PGP fingerprint with you to the meeting. For details see http://www.fosdem.org/2008/keysigning. For early birds: make sure you can improve the distribution algorithm to be explored on the 22nd of Febr during the Fosdem Pink Elephant Edition event.

Dezember 2007 von 15-19 Uhr veranstaltet die Freitagsrunde der TU Berlin eine GPG-Keysigning- und CAcert-Assuring-Party (CAcert ab 17 Uhr) in der Franklinstr. 28/29, Raum 5046, 10587 Berlin. Am Montag, 10.12. um 16 Uhr findet am selben Ort ein Vortrag zum Thema Verschlüsselung (mit Fokus auf GnuPG) statt.
