FrOSCon 2011 in St. Augustin 20./21. August 2011

Auch in diesem Jahr wird CAcert wieder auf der FrOSCon am 20. und 21. August in St. Augustin mit einem Stand vertreten sein.
Des Weiteren wird es in Zusammenarbeit mit OpenOffice einen Vortrag zum Thema “Signieren von OpenOffice-Dokumenten” geben.
Sprecht uns auf dem Stand an, um zu erfahren, welche Aktivitäten zur Zeit bei CAcert durchgeführt und geplant sind.

CAcert will be present again with a booth on the FrOSCon in St. Augustin 20th/21st August.

Die Mitglieder des größten Internetvereins im Ruhrgebiet öffnen ihr neues Vereinsheim der Öffentlichkeit

Der PING e.V. lädt am 13. August 2011 ab 14:00 Uhr zum „Sommerfest” ein.
Besucher haben an diesem Tag die Möglichkeit, hinter die Kulissen unseres Vereins zu schauen und die Aktiven Mitglieder kennenzulernen. Wir wollen auch unser neues Vereinsheim der Öffentlichkeit präsentieren und im angemessenen Rahmen einweihen.

Abgerundet wird das ganze mit mehreren Kurzvorträgen. Die Vorträge dauern jeweils ca. 15 – 20 Minuten und sind sowohl für Einsteiger als auch versierte Interessierte geeignet.
Im Anschluss an einen Vortrag besteht die Möglichkeit in einer lockeren Diskussionsrunde Fragen zu klären oder die eigene Erfahrung einzubringen. Weiter geht es nach einer kleinen Pause mit dem nächsten Vortrag. Selbstverständlich stehen dann die Referenten und die ehrenamtlichen Helfer des Vereins für Fragen und Diskussionen gerne zur Verfügung.

  • Internettechnik im Wandel
  • Datenverschlüsselung mit TrueCrypt

Des Weiteren werden ein PGP Keysigning und CAcert Assurance angeboten.

CAcert’ing & KSP at french RMLL in Strasbourg

There will be a CAcert booth at the RMLL 2011 in Strasbourg from july 11th until july 14th

There will be an ATE in Bonn on 8th June 2011 . More details on the wiki.

There are a couple of options to indicate that you are attending:

– Email I will attend ATE-Bonn
– Acknowledge the XING event
– Edit the wiki directly

As IanG said: “The ATE or Assurer Training Event is exceptionally recommended for all Assurers, and include parts which contribute directly to our audit. Come and find out how you can also contribute.”

Stuttgart – CAcert Assurance & Key Signing Party – 22 June 2011, 6:30 pm

Am Mittwoch, 22. Juni 2011, findet ab 18:30 Uhr an der Universität Stuttgart eine von der Fachschaft Informatik und Softwaretechnik organisierte CAcert-Assurance- und Key-Signing-Party für PGP/GnuPG statt.
Bitte kommt zahlreich, um möglichst viele CAcert-Interessierte assuren zu können (Ihr braucht 100 Assurance-Punkte und müsst das Assurer-Training bestanden haben).

CAcert assurances at Linux Infotag Augsburg

This year too, there will be enough 35-point assurers at the booth of the LUG Ottobrunn at Linux Infotag in Augsburg (26th march) to get fully assured (100 points). Check for the CAcert badges & logo !

Auch dieses Jahr werden ausreichend 35-Punkte Assurer am Stand der LUG Ottobrunn beim Linux Infotag in Augsburg (26. März) anwesend sein, um voll assured zu werden (100 Punkte). Folgt dem CAcert Logo !

ATE-Munich, 2. April

After Munich’s ATE in 2009 another one is scheduled. This time it is a joint offer from the CAcert community and Munich’s open source meetings. It is also supported by secure-u e.V.
We will host the ATE on afternoon of 2nd April. More details on the wiki.

CAcert-Assurances at CeBIT 2011

Dear assurers and assurees,

we want to give assurees the possibility to find assurers. Hence we are calling for a meeting point daily at 12:00 hrs. noon in front of hall 2 facing the green.

We’re asking assurers to indicate themselves by a CAcert T-Shirt, stitch on jacket, CAcert-Bag oder similar, since we cannot build a rollup.

On Saturday we will arrange a longer meeting which will take place in front of hall 2 facing the green or in case of bad weather in front of hall 2 at the corridor facing the bank of windows.
