At the Linux-World 2007 event (31 Oct and 1st of Nov 2007) in the Jaarbeurs expo, Utrecht, Holland, CAcert Assurers will be available on a special booth for free asuurances. Admittance to the expo is free. On the 1st of November a half hour CAcert presentation will be given about the ins and outs of the free CAcert digital certificates.
The NLUUG will have a big event at the 7th of November 2007 for their 25 year birthday in Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam, Holland. See http://www.nluug25.nl for detailed information. At this event there will be CAcert Assurances at a special booth as well GPG/PGP signing opportunities will be there.
Attendees of the Chaos Communication Camp can join an unorganized informal meeting with other CAcert members for assurances and discussions about CAcert from 16:00 to 17:00 each day at the hackcenter.

The LUG Backnang will provide CAcert assurances at the webinale in Ludwigsburg, Germany from 21st to 23rd May 2007.

June 17-22, 2007 at the USENIX Annual Techn. Conference, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, CA US, there will be CAcert Assurance sessions as well PGP/GPG signing sessions. A special Birds of Feather (BoF) session for assurances and PGTP/GPG signing is being organized on Wed, June 20 from 8:30 – 9:30pm San Tomas room. if you are not registrated for the conference itself you will be still able to attend this BoF.
CAcert Assurers can be recognized easily by their CAcert Assurer label (a pin) on their conference batch.
For Assurers CAcert labels/pins will be available. The persons at the Registration desk can help you to points the pins down for you.
Gregory will be at TECHbash 2007, a Microsoft-centric event in Naticoke, PA, United States of America on 19th of May and will offer information on CAcert as well as assurances.

There will be a CAcert booth at the IT fair in Bamberg, Germany organized by trainees of Deutsche Telekom AG on 3rd and 4th of may. Main topics will be Linux and networking. More information can be found on the website (german).

At the dutch NLUUG conference, Thursday 10th of May 2007 (conf. theme is Virtualisation), location Reehorst, Ede, Holland there will be CAcert Assurances, CAcert info (and news!), and OpenPGP signing. The conference is from 9am-5 pm. For CAcert and PGP there is a free admittance.
Wie auch im letzten Jahr ist CAcert mit einem Stand auf den Chemnitzer Linuxtagen 2007 vom 03.-04.März 2007 vertreten. Interressierte Assurer (und natürlich auch die, die noch einer werden wollen) können sich unter http://wiki.cacert.org/wiki/ChemnitzerLinuxTage2007 eintragen.
Interessenten und Besucher können sich einen Account bei www.CAcert.org anlegen;
notwendig sind Name, Passwort und eine gültige E-Mail-Adresse. Auf der
CeBit kann nun die Person verifiziert (assured) werden. Bei der “Assurance” ist
die Vorlage mindestens eines gültigen Lichtbildausweises (z.B. Führerschein,
Personalausweis oder Reisepass) notwendig, die dann am Stand von den
“Assurern” überprüft und verifiziert werden. Bei erfolgter Überprüfung erhält
der Benutzer Punkte, die seine Vertrauenswürdigkeit widerspiegeln. Ein
vertrauenswürdiger Benutzer kann auf der CAcert-Website selbst Zertifikate
ausstellen, und zusätzlich über ein “Web of Trust” Punkte an andere Benutzer
vergeben.
CAcert assurance meeting and GPG/PGP keysigning party will be held in Helsinki University of Technology (Computer Science building) at Friday 24th November 2006 from 14:00 to 16:00. Everybody can come to get themselves assured.
